Lawrence Hass has been teaching philosophy and then magical theatre for over 20 years. He brings energy and passion to the classroom, and seeks to create a learning community in which new thoughts and life possibilities are constantly in play. With magic specifically, Larry has pioneered a practical approach that has strengthened and enriched the performances of beginners and advanced students of magic alike, as well as professionals already working in the field. Larry is frequently hired by magicians' groups and conventions to offer lectures, workshops, and mini-courses. From time to time, Larry also offers "The Transformations Workshop" at Muhlenberg College. These are three-day, intensive experiences in which Larry uses his acclaimed "Five Pillars of Magic" framework to teach both dedicated beginners and highly experienced students to perform magic that is deceptive, entertaining, meaningful, and theatrically sound.
